Marines marching 770 miles from Florida to North Carolina made their way through Savannah and the Low country on Wednesday.
The 14 Marine Raiders are marching to remember the lives of 11 service members who were killed in a helicopter crash a year ago. Seven of the casualties were Marine Raiders. During their long journey, multiple teams take turns traveling 11 to 12 miles each, carrying a paddle recovered from the crash debris. Proceeds from the ruck will be donated to helping the families of fallen soldiers.
