Sebastian to be Charged with DUI After High Speed Chase Across Liberty County

After running a red light, the driver of a Dodge pickup struck the rear bumper a Chevrolet Cavalier on M L King Jr Drive and fled the scene. This instigated a high speed, with the suspect fleeing Hinesville Police at over 100 MPH. The chase ended on East Oglethorpe Highway when the driver went off the road, collided his vehicle with a church sign, and caused it to spin out of control.
Suspect Ervin Sebastian was removed from the vehicle by emergency personnel and airlifted to Savannah for treatment of his injuries. He will face a charge of DUI. Charges of fleeing the scene of an accident and failure to yield are also possible.
