Epic Journey: Nine Vidalia Cyclists on a 500-Mile Ride

The Paul Anderson Youth Home provides an environment that helps young men get their lives back on track. A staple of the youth home is the Annual Paul Anderson Bike Ride, a week-long, 500 mile journey across the state of Georgia.
This year there are nine participants: six residents and three counselors. Their journey, which began on July 18, is scheduled to conclude on Monday, with the group returning to Vidalia.
The event raises funds and awareness for the youth home and the valuable service it provides. It also gives youth with the chance to take a page out of the book of Paul Anderson himself, who founded the home over fifty years ago. Anderson was known for his extreme physical fitness; once biking from Vidalia to Omaha, Nebraska to raise awareness and funds for the home.
