On Sunday, March 26th at approximately 11:22 am, a 1998 Ford Explorer crashed on Zoar Road. The crash happened when the driver over-corrected a left turn, causing her to go off-road and collide with a tree.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Dann Elle Nicole Herndon, was severely injured. She was transported by air evacuation to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah.
The reporting officer at the scene was Joshua Matthew Lamb of the Georgia State Patrol.
