Appling County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Community Supervision “Operation Clean Sweep II”

On Thursday, March 23, 2017 the Appling County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, conducted “Operation Clean Sweep II.”  This was a collaborative effort by local, state and federal law enforcement to search out and find parole, probation and county warrant fugitives who are attempting to escape capture.  Agencies that assisted us in this effort were DCS Criminal Intelligence Unit, Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center and the US Drug Enforcement Administration.  The result of these agencies intelligence-driven effort was potential current addresses/locations for parolee/probationer and county warrant absconders.  
With the above provided information, the ACSO, DCS, Baxley Police Department, Georgia Department of Corrections K-9 Unit, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Jesup Police Department,  Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office, GBI, Georgia State Patrol, Southeastern Drug Task Force, Motor Carrier Compliance Division and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, consisting of approximately 70 officers, attempted to serve over forty (40) felony warrants.  
By the end of the operation, officers had arrested fourteen (14) offenders for various outstanding and new warrants.

Eric Carter (Probation Warrant)
Stacey Copeland (Probation Warrant)
Larry Mock (Probation Warrant)
Joseph Kyle Perry (Probation Warrant)
Sabrina Thomas (Probation Warrant)
Leah Beasley (Bench Warrant)
Teryn Treat (Bench Warrant)
Shannan Grover (VGCSA-Possession of Suboxone, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of Stolen Vehicle with Removed or Altered VIN and Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Felony)
Rodriques Moore (Forgery, 3rd Degree)
Brenda Phillips (Mandatory Education for 6-16 Child)
John Wiggins (Theft by Receiving Stolen Property)
