SPD Fingerprinting Services Moving to New Location

SAVANNAH, GA (April 11, 2019) – Starting Tuesday, April 16th, Savannah Police’s Forensics Unit will be offering fingerprinting services at their new location at the SPD Administrative Services and Training Complex.
The Forensics Unit offers fingerprinting for the general public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00-4:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Fingerprinting services were previously offered at 295 Police Memorial Drive, off of Chatham Parkway, but will now be offered at 78 Ross Road.
A government-issued photo ID is required in order to process prints. There is no fee associated with this service, and FBI fingerprint cards can be provided if needed. If prints are needed for an alcohol license, an application must be filled out in advance. For more information on this service, contact the Forensics Unit at (912) 651-6700.
If prints are needed for a license to carry application, daycare licensing, elder care or adoptions through the State of Georgia, prints must be done at the UPS Store located at 1 Diamond Causeway. Contact UPS at (912) 303-0912 for more information.
