TIU Investigates Pedestrian-Involved Hit and Run Crash

UPDATE (June 17, 2019) — The  hit-and-run vehicle has been identified as a 1998-2002 gold in color Toyota Corolla. SAVANNAH, GA (June 16, 2019) – Savannah Police’s Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating a pedestrian-involved hit and run crash that occurred June 15 on 37th Street.
About 8:45 p.m. officers responded to the 1100 block of E. 37th Street where they discovered Terry Coleman, 52, suffering from serious injuries. An initial investigation revealed that Coleman was pushing a grocery cart west on the north side of E. 37th Street when he was struck from behind by a gold vehicle. The impact resulted in Coleman and the grocery cart striking a parked vehicle. The unknown gold vehicle left the scene.
