11-22-13---Answered a call to Azalea road in reference to a Theft.  Complainant stated taken from his vehicle was a Beretta PX4 45 caliber pistol valued at $600.00.  Pistol was entered into GCIC.  Investigation continues.
 
11-22-13---Answered a call to Deen’s Landing road in reference to a Theft.  Complainant stated missing from his residence was his check book with checks. Complainant stated checking with his bank several checks had been processed through his account he did not write.  Investigation continues.
 
11-23-13---Answered a call to Nails Ferry road in reference to a one-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.
 
11-23-13---Answered a call to Red Oak road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident.  No injuries were reported.
 
11-23-13---A routine traffic stop on Foundry Street resulted in the arrest of Chadwick McCall age 23 of Baxley. McCall was charged with VGCS Marijuana less than 1 ounce.
 
11-24-13---Answered a call to Fireline road in reference to an abandon Four Wheeler.  Artic Cat four wheeler appeared to have been stripped and dumped in the woods. Investigation revealed four wheeler was stolen in August and belonged to a victim living in Lumber City.
 
11-25-13---Answered a call to Hwy. 144 in reference to a two vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
 
11-25-13---Answered a call to Georgia Baptist Home in reference to an Affray.
Two juveniles were found to have been in an altercation. Both juveniles were transferred to Claxton YDC.
 
11-25-13---Answered a call to Appling ER in reference to a Dog Bite. Fourteen month old male child was bitten in the face by family dog.
 
11-25-13---Answered a call to Hatch Parkway north in reference to a Hit & Run accident. Victim stated a subject driving a van pulled into her driveway and hit her vehicle.  Subjects were located and victim was advised of her legal rights.
 
11-26-13---Answered a call to McDaniel Road in reference to a Theft which led to the arrest of James Raymond Evans age 40, of Baxley, John Shane Bailey age 30 of Jesup, and Acela Roberson Bailey age 30 of Jesup. All three subjects were charged with Theft by Taking.
 
11-26-13---Answered a call to Appling ER in reference to a Child Neglect/Abuse. Grandmother of child stated the mother had abused the child.  DFAC’s was notified investigation continues.
 
11-26-13---Answered a call to Penny Morris Road in reference to a possible Suicide.  Nathan Wade Herrington, Sr. age 54 of Baxley was found deceased.  Coroner Jones was notified and pronounced Mr. Herrington deceased.
 
11-26-13---Answered a call to Old Field Cemetery in reference to a one-vehicle accident.  No injuries were reported.
 
11-27-13---Answered a call to Frank Miles Road in reference to a Domestic which led to the arrest of Christopher Allen Hutchins age 24 of Baxley.  Hutchins was charged with Disorderly Conduct.
 
11-27-13---Answered a call to South Main Street in reference to a Unruly Subject which led to the arrest of Albert Lee Hopkins age 36 of Baxley.  Hopkins was charged with PUI.
 
11-27-13---Answered a call to McDaniel road in reference to a Shot Dog. Complainant stated a truck stopped in the front of his house and driver of truck shot his dog.  Investigation revealed a juvenile had done the shooting. Investigation continues.
 
11-27-13---Answered a call to Aldrich Road in reference to an Unresponsive Subject.  Appling EMS and Coroner responded and found Mr. Roger Clayton Aspinwall age 77 was found deceased and had died from natural causes.
 
11-27-13---A routine traffic stop on Hwy. 144 led to the arrest of Shatasha Lyncola Jackson age 33 of Baxley and Kwanja Latasha Bright age 23 of Baxley.  Jackson was charged with Violation of Window Tint and VGCSA. Bright was charged with VGCSA.
 
11-29-13---Answered a call to Glory Hold Road in reference to Threats. Complainant stated he evicted a renter from his rental home and renter was making threats against him.
 
11-30-13---Answered a call to Ford Street in reference to a Child Custody Dispute.
Complainant stated his ex-wife refused to give him his child for weekend visitation. Complainant was advised to see his attorney.
 
Sheriff Deloach asks that if anyone notices any suspicious activity please report it to the Appling County Sheriff’s Office at 367-8120.
