Taylor Swift's star status seems to have stirred up some trouble at a Kennedy family wedding over the weekend. The New York Daily News reports that Victoria Gifford Kennedy, the mother of bride Kyle Kennedy, confronted Taylor and Conor Kenney at the nuptials after they were directly asked not to come. Victoria did not want to distract from Kyle's big day, so when Conor texted his aunt to see if they could attend, she said, "I responded with a very clear, 'Please do not come."
Taylor and Conor showed up anyway at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel in Boston on Saturday (August 18th), where Kyle was marrying Liam Kerr.
Victoria told the Boston Herald, "I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me."
According to Victoria, Taylor's presence at the event brought chaos with fans rushing to get her picture and autograph.
Taylor and Conor left during dinner but returned to dance at the reception.
Taylor's publicist, however, tells a different story, saying, "There is no truth to that. Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there."
