Ben Wells
What started out as an acoustic solo endeavor, quickly turned into the rising Country Rock artist/band that’s before you. Ben Wells began uploading original and simple covers of his favorite songs on YouTube, just a couple years ago. Those “simple” covers immediately jumped from 100's of views to 100,000's of views to ultimately Millions of views. Though Ben was performing a strong solo acoustic gig circuit, there was a missing piece. Crossing the path of experienced musicians Stephen Deloach, Rodney Baldwin, and Josh Hughes was definitely that “missing piece” that Ben needed and they are what now forms the Ben Wells Band. With these 4 passionate musicians all on one stage, they build a unique, “rock-hard” sound that compliments modern Country Music.
They have shared the stage with artists Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, Brooks and Dunn, Roy Clark, Darius Rucker, Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, Jerrod Niemann, Colt Ford and Crossing Dixon to name a few. The Ben Wells Band is currently the 2011 Southeast WXRS Battle of the Bands Champion. In addition, Ben himself was nominated earlier this year as the GA Country Music “Male Artist of the Year” Award.
These 4 guys have all seen different aspects of the music industry, country music, and the independent scene, and together bring an ingenious intellect that gains their growing attention nationwide.
If you take traditional country music and “smack” it in the face with outlaw rock country, you have the sound that shapes Ben Wells and the Ben Wells Band.
