Sheriff's Weekly Report 07/21/14


07-18-14---Answered a call to Memphis Crosby road in reference to Damage to Property.  Landlord stated his tenant destroyed the inside of the mobile home he was renting and left without paying three months’ rent. Landlord was advised of legal action he could take.
 
07-18-14---Answered a call to Dyal School road in reference to a Burglary.  Complainant advised window was broken to gain entry to his residence and his 9mm Rugger pistol is missing.  Investigation continues.
 
07-18-14---Answered a call to Kville Highway in reference to a Landlord/Tenant Dispute. Complainant stated while in the process of moving from rental home landlord had taken her recliner and burned it.  Complainant was advised of legal action.
 
07-19-14---Answered a call to Donnie Lewis Lane in reference to possible Suicide Threat. Victim was transported to Appling ER for evaluation.
 
07-19-14---Answered a call to Appling ER in reference to a Dog Bite. Victim stated he was trying to break his dogs up from fighting and was bit.
 
07-20-14---Answered a call to Hoppy Trail in reference to Animal Abuse. Complainant stated tenant left the rental property and dogs penned up for several days with no food or water. Tenant left without paying several months’ rent. 
 
07-20-14---Answered a call to Lake Mayers road in reference to an Attempted Burglary. Complainant stated screens to storage building had been cut. Investigation continues.
 
07-20-14---Answered a call to Sand Bar Drive in reference to Damage to Property/Trespass.  Complainant stated gates to his property had been damaged to gain entry to his private property and stated he only wants his gates replaced. Complainant was advised of legal action he could take.
 
07-21-14---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report Credit Card Fraud. Complainant stated unknown subject had used her credit card in Spring, Texas.  Card was cancelled and Investigation continues.
 
 
07-22-14---Answered a call to V P Lynch Road in reference to Damage to Property. Complainant stated it looked as if someone was trying to gain entry into her residence by damaging her door.
 
07-23-14---Answered a call to Ten Mile Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
 
07-24-14---Answered a call to Sumner Road in reference Threats. Complainant stated her estranged husband continues to harass and make threats. Complainant was advised of legal action to take.
 
07-24-14---Answered a call to Old Field Cemetery in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
 
07-24-14---Answered a call to Palmetto Circle in reference to Runaway Juvenile.
Juvenile was located and Juvenile Justice was notified.
 
07-24-14---Answered a call to Ten Mile road in reference to a one-vehicle accident. No injuries were reported.
 
07-24-14---Answered a call to Holt Rentz Road in reference to Juvenile Problem.
Complainant stated her neighbors children came to her yard and were asked to leave after punching her five year old in the face. Neighborhood children (ages 5 & 4) came back with a BB gun.  Responding officer spoke with mother of neighborhood children and she stated she would take BB gun from her children.
 
07-24-14---Answered a call to Holt Rentz Road in reference to Damage to Property. Complainant stated two juvenile boys had shot holes in the vinyl siding of his rental property with BB guns. Complainant was advised of legal action to take.
 
07-24-14---Complainant came to Sheriff’s Office to report Scam Attempt. Complainant stated a male had been calling her residence stating she had won several million dollars and a new car. The male wanted complainant to go to a local store and get a green dot prepaid card for $405 on it to collect the winnings.  Complainant did not comply.  ”PLEASE BEWARE OF SCAMS”

07-25-14---Answered a call to Ben Carter Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
