Jesup, GA – Wayne Memorial Hospital is hosting its next blood drive Wednesday, July 19, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the bloodmobile adjacent to the exterior entrance to The Café at Wayne Memorial. Appointments may be made by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or visitingwww.redcrossblood.org and entering “wmh” when prompted for a sponsor code. Walk-ins are also welcomed. Donors will be entered into a raffle for $25 if we achieve five units over the drive goal. If 10 or more units are collected beyond the goal, the raffle increases to $50. The goal for this drive is 32 units.
All blood types are needed, as one pint of blood can save up to three lives. Donors may go online to redcrossblood.org/rapidpass to make their visit to the drive quicker.
Wayne Memorial Hospital, whose mission is to provide high quality health care services to all patients, built a state-of-the-art facility in 2007. It is the third largest employer in Wayne County with 400 employees, 84 beds and is a two-time winner of the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals Small Hospital of the Year Award.
