Carolyn Louise Barnes Moye Ritch – 85

Carolyn Louise Barnes Moye Ritch, age 85, of Baxley passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Baptist Village in Waycross.
She was born October 29, 1935 in Surrency to the late Murray Barnes and the late Essie Mae Byrd Barnes. Before retirement, Mrs. Ritch worked at Pantry Pride in Jacksonvile, Florida for 16 years and then was a produce manager at Piggly Wiggly in Baxley. She was a member of Antioch Congregation Christian Church and she loved to crochet. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ritch was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry Lee Moye, Sr. and John Ritch; son, Henry Lee Moye, Jr.; and brother, Jimmy Barnes.
Mrs. Ritch is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Alice and Steven Baumgardner of Middleburg, Florida and Carol Moye of Callahan, Florida; sister, Barbara Ann (Gerald) Smith of Baxley; three grandchildren, John Dustin (Stacy) Rushing, Sr., Earl Travis Rushing, Jr. and James Murray Moriarty; and two great grandchildren, Dustin Rushing, Jr. and Brooke Rushing; and a special  family member, Mary Johnson also survives.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Congregational Christian Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Steven Baumgardner, David Farmer, Dustin Rushing, Sr., Travis Rushing, Dale Smith, Tommy Byrd, James Byrd, & Robert Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Ritch’s name to the American Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
