Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Carl Kersey, age 69, who passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his residence in Baxley. Carl was a lifelong resident of Appling County. He began his 48-year career with Youmans Timber becoming Rayonier and presently Interfor and attended Carter’s Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.
Mr. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Louise Kersey; and two brother, Willie Kersey and Roy Kersey.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years Wanda Thornton Kersey, two sisters; Shirley Smith (Charles) and Beverly Kersey; a brother, Buddy Kersey (Sandra); and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Danny Hix, Reverend Ronnie Rentz, and Reverend Lester Weldon officiating and a Eulogy by Willie “Pedro” Kersey.
Internment will follow in the Omega Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.
Active Pallbearers will be Andrew Kersey, Tyler Harrelson, A.J. Wagner, Farrell Thornton, B.J. Kersey, Willie “Pedro” Kersey Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ray Thrift, Iveylene Wynn, Mary Baxley, Gary and Jeanette Jones, Bernie and Wanda Pearce, Joe and Debbie Sannutti, Ronald Rentz, Abbie Milikin, Pat Mincey, Comfort Care Hospice.
