Madie Blanton Adams – 81

Madie Blanton Adams, age 81, of Baxley, died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Pavilion under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
Mrs. Adams was born October 28, 1939 in Baxley to the late James Franklin Blanton and the late Willine Hart Blanton. She was retired from Douglas & Harper and attended Surrency Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams was devoted to her family and was a talented seamstress and an amazing cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Van Patrick and Franklin Patrick; and her sister, Audrey Stanfield.
Survivors include her husband, Willie K. Adams of Baxley; children, Patsy Wilbur of Screven, Quinda Patrick of Baxley, Robin Patrick of Odum, Gail (Dale) Dixon of Baxley, Missy (Al) Meadows of Baxley, Jamie (Debbie) Adams of Jesup, and Robbie (Wendy) Adams of Odum; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Justin McLellan and Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kenny Wright, Michael North, Eric Mincey, Clifton Mincey, Mitch Crosby, and Gene Mann.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr & Mrs. Jimmy Hattaway, Mr. & Mrs. David Douglas, Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Blanton, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Crosby, Mr. & Mrs. Curtis McMillan, Mary Herrington, Kim Boatright, staff of B-Hall at the Pavillion, Judy Patterson, Appling Healthcare System Medical Surge Nurses, Debbie Woodall, Dana Roberson, Courtney Clements, Stephanie Hutcheson, Linda Stone, Laura Allen and Simone Vann White of Spanish Oaks Hospice, and co-workers of Douglas & Harper.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
Everyone in attendance is asked to please abide by COVID-19 precautions by wearing a mask and social distancing.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
