Arthur Clifton Griffin – 78

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the death of Mr. Arthur Clifton Griffin, born January 29, 1943, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Mr. Griffin retired as an electrician in 1996. He was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist church in Baxley, Ga. His most treasured and proudest accomplishment was the family he built with the love of his life, his wife of 47 years. His happiest moments were spent with his family whom he adored.
Mr. Griffin was proceeded in death by his parents; Millard and Beanie Nail Griffin, son; Michael Griffin, grandson; Bryce Tarter, brothers; Clinton, Curtis, and Ronnie Griffin, and mother-in-law; Lucille Sellers Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Lafaye S. Griffin; children; Brenda (Drue) Ahl of Baxley, Cathy (Allen) Whittington of Darien, Kelly (Andy) Branch of Jackson, Sonny Joye (Lynn) Shuman of Baxley, Glenda Carol (Craig) Wheelis of Morristown, Ariz., Jimmy (Tammy) Griffin of Guyton, and Michaela (Blake) Tarter of Kingsland; sisters-in-law, Ann Eason, and Sharon (Danny) Head; 22 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 15, 2021, at 2 P.M. from the Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Rick Brown, Reverend James Minick and Reverend Bill Stone officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Griffin will lie in state one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Active Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Peacock, Chester Drue Ahl, Allen Ahl, Sheldon Lynn Shuman, Corey Wayne Shuman, Cody Whittington and Austin Cliff Flores.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all in attendance.
Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to serve the family of Mr. Arthur Clifton Griffin.
