Lawanda “Prissy” Rentz, age 76, of Baxley, died Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Pavilion.
Ms. Rentz was born August 11, 1946 in Appling County to the late James Harold Rentz and the late Juanita Combs Rentz. She was a member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed Rentz and Rodney Rentz.
Survivors include seven sisters, Barbara (Auburn) Horton, Harolyn (Albert) Kent, Glenda (Larry) Bass, Cheryl Stone, Judy McDaniel, Marilyn (Larry) Hall, and Janice (Deen) Craven. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 13, 2022, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Brown and Reverend Justin McLellan officiating. A eulogy will be given by Eddie Rentz. Interment will follow in Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Rentz, Jeff Bass, Glen McDaniel, Clint Bass, Craig Stone, and Dino Craven.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Sr. Saints Sunday School Class of Dunn Memorial and the B Hall staff of the Pavilion.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
