The Bacon County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI conduct a death investigation of a woman inmate in the Bacon County Jail. Rethia Pennington, age 35, of Callahan, FL, was found deceased in her cell on the morning of November 29. The GBI Medical Examiner’s Office will complete an autopsy on Pennington.
