Hi everyone, it's Wild Bill I have been in Country Radio for the past 12 years. I've worked up and down the dial all over the country from South Dakota, Vermont, Michigan, Indiana to Minnesota. I've worked mornings on Z-94 back in 2004 and then took a morning show job in Columbus GA in 2005. I worked for Country station WKCN and stayed there for 2 years. I married my lovely wife Marilyn just over the Georgia border. Marilyn is from a little town called Smith Station, Alabama. I also became good friends with Alan Dupriest in Columbus GA while working with him in radio. I did the unthinkable, I left the south and moved to Mankato Minnesota and worked for country station KYSM for 4 years. My daughter Emma Elizabeth was born in Minnesota in 2008 and she is the love of our lives. It sure is nice to be back home in Georgia being close to Family and friends. I look forward to meeting and reconnecting with all of you!
Lady Antebellum have just released the video for their newest single, "Wanted You More." Pay close attention to the last shot where the piano catches fire. Hillary Scott says, "The adrenaline was definitely pumping. I knew I had only one chance to get that shot!"
"Wanted You More" is also unique in that Hillary, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood wrote it with all the members of their band.
A sophomore running back for the University of Georgia's football team was arrested Friday morning on two felony weapons charges.
Isaiah Crowell, 19, was booked into the Athens-Clarke County Jail at 3:37 a.m. on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a weapon in a school zone and an altered ID mark. No other information was immediately available.
Crowell, who is from Columbus, was was the No. 1-rated running back prosect in America when he came to UGA in 2011.
Crowell missed playing time due to two suspensions and injuries last season, but still rushed for 850 yards and five touchdowns.
This makes me mad. Many people in college sports media had Crowell on the short list of Heisman Trophy candidates. We need more "Tim Tebows" in this world not people who are going to waste their "God-given" talent. Character counts and if your'e a Georgia Bulldog your'e a role model weather you like it or not. Tim McGraw has announced that his first single with his new record label will be "Truck Yeah." He's been performing the song on the Brothers of the Sun tour, and fans are already singing along. Tim says "Truck Yeah" takes him back to early in his career because of its great "attitude."
Here's video of Tim McGraw performing, "Truck Yeah" in Atlanta on his Brothers of the Sun Tour earlier this month.
I know it's not even the 4th of July but if your itching for it to be football season already this vintage video with Larry Munson with Dawg highlights ought to help ya! Feel free to post your comments below!
Facebook just removed your email address from your profile and replaced it with an @facebook.com email address without asking you.
Whether you run a business, organize a carpool or just like people to know how to get in touch with you NOT via facebook – it seems like a bad move to change your own info without asking permission or even alerting you to the fact.
Facebook launched its own email service back in 2010, but no one uses it.
Yesterday, Forbes noticed that everyone's email addresses in their profiles had been removed and changed to an @facebook.com address (one that’s different from the internal email for notifications and password resetting).
Wanna fix your email? Follow these steps (thanks to Lifehacker.com)
1. Click "About" on your profile and scroll down to your email address. Click "Edit" to change them.
2. Click on the circle next to your Facebook email address and change its setting to "Hidden From Timeline."
3. Click on the circle next to your other email addresses and change their settings to "Shown On Timeline."
4. Click the Save button at the bottom of the Edit popup (don't forget this step).
Flash flood warnings were issued for parts of Florida and Georgia early Tuesday, as rain from
Tropical Storm Debby continued to lash the southeast coast.
Scotty McCreery made a surprise appearance to sing "I Like It, I Love It" with Tim McGraw at the Brothers of the Sun tour stop in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday.
Tropical storm warnings were in effect along the Florida Panhandle as the storm parked offshore. Even with the storm's center far from land, it lashed Florida with heavy rains and spawned isolated tornadoes that killed at least one person.
If one assumes that Coach Will Friend's offensive line is going to develop to the point that UGA contends for the SEC championship
(and BCSNC by extension), Isaiah Crowell's candidacy is not far-fetched.
Dustin Lynch made two fans' night after weather forced him to cancel his show last weekend at BamaJam. According to Alabama.com, Dustin and his band had already packed their gear and left the festival when they found out that two fans had driven from Virginia to southern Alabama just to see him. He quickly returned and invited the women onto his bus for an acoustic performance.
UGA’s newest recruit, Rico Johnson, from Swainsboro, HS cried after was he was offered a football scholarship at Saturday’s Mark Richt Camp.
They were tears of joy.
“That was my dream school; I always wanted to go there,” Johnson told the AJC. “I told myself if I ever got an offer from Georgia, that would be the school I would go to.”
Apparently unhappy watching on the sidelines as their arch rival Apple is raking up record profits with the iPad, Microsoft is getting into the tablet business.
The company unveiled their entry into the market -- called Surface – today (Monday). It runs on the Windows operating system -- Windows RT or Windows 8 -- and comes with an ultra-thin keyboard that doubles as a case.

BROOKLYN, Mich. -- At the same venue that produced his last Sprint Cup victory, four years and two days removed from his most recent visit to Victory Lane, Dale Earnhardt Jr. broke the most talked-about, most frustrating streak in motorsports.
Pulling away from defending series champion Tony Stewart at the end of the final 60-lap green-flag run, Earnhardt won Sunday's Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway by a dominating 5.393 seconds to end a winless drought of 143 races.
"I know you guys have been waiting on that one," Earnhardt radioed to his crew after crossing the finish line. "I know I have."
As Earnhardt performed a wild celebratory burnout on the frontstretch, fans and crew members crowded around Victory Lane as the crowd in the grandstands stood and cheered.
The victory was the 19th in the Cup Series for Earnhardt, who solidified second place in the Cup standings, closing to four points behind leader Matt Kenseth, who ran third Sunday behind Earnhardt and Stewart.
Dierks Bentley paid tribute to his late father Leon by performing "My Last Name" at the Opry Tuesday night. Dierks credits his dad, who passed away on June 1st, with instilling his love for country music. He says, "Every day we would drive to school and he'd listen. He just loved Hank Williams, loved George Strait."
David Limbaugh joined me to talk about his new book, "The Great Destroyer." Carrie Underwood has come out in favor of gay marriage. She says it's wrong not to be able to marry someone you love.
Carrie tells the U.K's Independent, "I can't imagine how that must feel I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love."
Carrie, who is a devout Christian, thinks her acceptance of same-sex marriages comes out of her religious beliefs."God wanted us to love others. It's not about setting rules, or [saying] 'everyone has to be like me.' No. We're all different."
If Carrie Underwood was a run of the mill country artist who came out with this statement I would personally disagree with this and probably think it's better for your music career to not come out in support of a hot political and spiritual issue in fear of offending a large segment of those who listen to and enjoy your music.
Carrie Underwood when she got married spoke passionately about her and her husband Mike Fisher's Christian beliefs. She talked about how she read the "Purpose Driven Life", prayed with her husband and had Bible study together. When Carrie says her opinion is based on Christian faith, I have a real problem with that because the very same scripture she studies contradicts her views on gay marriage.
Carrie the next time you and your husband Mike have a Bible study. Here's some scripture worth looking into that contradicts what you claim God approves.
1 Corinthians Chapter 6
Romans Chapter 1
I Timothy Chapter 1
Jude Chapter 7
Here's audio from all the phone calls I recieved in reaction to Carrie Underwood's statements on gay marriage. Please post your thoughts in the comments thread!

I had an excellent interview with Tim Griffin who's a lawyer from Virginia and a blog contributor to the conservative website RedState. We discussed the Obama Administration forcing all public pools in the country to install a very expensive handicap mechanical lift that will cost municipalities over 10-15 thousand dollars to install and maintain. If they don't they are fined upwards to 100,000 dollars. Read the article Tim Griffin posted on RedState called: "Obama allows your children to go swimming for one more summer"

Hey I was crusing around on Facebook and came across some great video highlights of game 3 of the AA State Championship. Somebody had really nice video camera. The shots were awesome! I found the Video on the Appling Pirates Baseball Fan Page on Facebook. Post your comments and tell me what you think.
I recieved this email from Lorraine in Baxley. Read it and tell me what you think.
Hi Bill,
This is Lorraine from Baxley, I've been an avid fan and supporter of the Appling Pirates. I understand Byron Buxton has been recruited to the Minnesota Twins. He has until July 13th to sign his 6.2 million dollar contract as the No. 2 draft choice in the nation. I however feel that he should make the decision to go to college and play for UGA who would accpet him on scholarship. It's important for everyone to get a college degree under their belts plus he'll be a better player and maybe get even a bigger offer from Major League Baseball when he graduates from UGA. Just a thought.
If you think Dierks Bentley's video for "5-1-5-0" looks like fun, check out the behind-the-scenes footage he shares on YouTube. The video was shot at the Big Nasty ATV Park in Bloomingdale Georgia.
