Statesboro gang and drug bust

Statesboro police made several drug and gang-related arrests right across Georgia Southern's campus.

The Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team arrested four people on New Year’s Eve at the Campus Evolution Apartments, which is off-campus student housing on Statesboro Place Circle.

Officers had responded to a domestic disturbance at one of the apartments when they detected an odor of marijuana, observed drug paraphernalia and noticed the occupants inside acting suspicious.

After obtaining a search warrant, investigators found a gun and a large amount of drugs including cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and MDPV or “Molly” inside of the apartment. The individuals were also known participants in a criminal street gang.

Arrested were Amoin Dunbar, 29, of Savannah, Quinton Glover, 22, of Savannah, Mikail Jackson, 24, of Statesboro, and Robert Mutcherson, 34, of Pembroke.

All four are currently being held at the Bulloch County Jail on numerous charges.
