Baxley Police Report

On June 22 at approx. 5:55 p.m., officers answered a call to a local diner in reference to a damage to property incident. On arrival, a complainant told officers that a person had been inside the diner and had caused a disturbance before going outside, picking up a cigarette butt holder and throwing it on the hood of a 2008 Saturn Sky vehicle that was parked on the lot. The suspect then left on foot. After officers got a description of the person and his direction of travel, he was detained nearby without incident. After an investigation, Kamarah R. Woods, age 37, of Memphis Tennessee was charged with one count of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal damage to property in the second degree.
On June 24 at approx. 9:00 p.m., officers met with a resident at a Corey Street address in reference to a theft. On arrival, the complainant told officers that he was missing three firearms from his vehicle. Reported missing were: a Glock model 17 RTF 9mm semi-automatic pistol (serial number NSR921), a Glock model 43, 9 mm semi-automatic (serial number ZMX550) and a Taurus Slim 40 caliber S&W semi-automatic pistol. The firearms have been entered in the GCIC system as stolen.
On June 26, at approximately 3:24 a.m., officers responded to an alarm going off at the Chevron store on North Boulevard. On arrival, officers noticed that a glass door in the back of the building had been shattered. They noticed a large piece of asphalt lying on the floor inside the busted out door. Officers secured the business and checked the area for the offender, finding no one. They notified dispatch to contact the key holder who arrived shortly. Reported missing were several packs of Newport cigarettes and White Owl cigarillos.
At June 27, at approximately 10:15 a.m., officers met with a complainant from Woody Folsom Dodge in reference to a missing vehicle. On arrival, the complainant told officers that while checking their inventory they discovered that a 2013 Ford F-150 Super Duty truck was missing. The truck is white and its VIN is 1FTFX1EF1DFD99190. The truck has been entered into the GCIC system as stolen.
on June 27 at approximately 3:25 p.m., officers met with a resident at an Edgerton Street address in reference to a burglary. On arrival, the resident told officers that while he was at work person(s) unknown had entered his home and stolen a 32-inch Visio flat-screen television, some currency, a 35 mm Cannon Rebel camera, and some medications.
