Belinda Higginbothan, 47, died from a gunshot wound on September 13. The next day, GBI officials announced that her stepson, John Higginbothan, 39, will face charges for her murder.
He is expected to face one count of felony murder and one count of felony murder. Other charges, including use of a firearm during commission of a felony, may be pending.
