GDOL to co-sponsor Veterans Appreciation Day Job Fair in Savannah

More than 50 employers will be recruiting veterans and other job seekers to fill a number of jobs during the Veterans Appreciation Day Job Fair in Savannah on Thursday, Nov. 10. The job fair is co-sponsored by the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) and Savannah Technical College.
The event, which is open to all job seekers, will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Eckberg Auditorium at Savannah Tech located at 5717 White Bluff Road. Staff from the GDOL will be on site to assist the job seekers.
Employers who have already registered include: Advantage Resourcing, Aerotek, Allied Security, Ambassador Personnel, Apollo Staffing, At Works Personnel, Badger Daylight Corporation, Brasseler USA, Ceasarstone Technologies, Chatham County Public Schools, Chatham County Sheriff’s Department, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Comcast, Dependable Staffing, Elle Contracting, Express Employment, FedEx Ground, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Game Stop, Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, Hyatt Regency Savannah, Jets Pizza, Koyo Bearings North America, Kmart, Kroger’s, Krystal’s, Low Country Basements Systems, MCS Recruitment. 
Also, METRO, Montage Palmetto Bluff, Orkal Industries, Palmetto School of Career Development, PDS Technical Incorporation, People Ready, Sizemore Security, Source 4 Teachers, Savannah Now Morning News, Staff Check, Sullivan Staffing, TACO Bell, The Salt Table, Thunderbolt Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, Toys R US, TWC Services, Two Men and a Truck, US Foods, Savannah Jobs, U.S. Army, and Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa. Other agencies expected to participate include the Chatham Apprentice Program, Chatham County Homeless Authority and U.S. Veterans Affairs.   
Jobseekers interested in attending the job fair may visit www.employgeorgia.com to create an account and upload, or prepare, a resume. Having an Employ Georgia account expedites the interview process.
Applicants are encouraged to bring a resume and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for jobs.
