Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating two shootings that occurred in the evening hours of Dec. 1 in West Savannah.
Metro responded to the scene at about 6:40 p.m., locating Keyuhn Washington, 17, who had been shot prior to police arrival. Moments later at about 6:53 p.m., Metro responded to the 1300 block of Comer Street in reference to a shooting victim. Reportedly, Joshua Lee, 17, was shot by an unknown suspect possibly in a black Nissan sedan. Washington was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with serious injuries. Lee was transported to MUMC with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are working to determine any connections between the two shootings. These cases remain under investigation.
