Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1900 block of Duval Street, Dec. 8.
At about 2:59 p.m., Metro responded to the scene for reports of a gun discharge. Reportedly, as a vehicle was traveling along Duval Street near Pennsylvania Avenue, shots rang out from an unknown direction. Detectives believe the shots may have come from a nearby vehicle. Shortly after, Anthony Williams III, 19, arrived at Memorial University Medical Center in a privately owned vehicle seeking care of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators are working to determine the actual circumstances surrounding this shooting.
