Appling County Sheriff’s Report

12-09-16—Answered a call to San Marco Drive in reference to a Domestic. Complainant stated her boyfriend had stolen her pistol.  Boyfriend stated he did not take her pistol.  Pistol was entered into GCIC as stolen.
12-09-16—Answered a call to Hwy. 144 in reference to Criminal Damage to Property.  Complainant stated unknown person (s) busted both headlights and keyed his entire vehicle.
12-09-16—A routine traffic stop on Bay Street/Luckie Street led to the arrest of Justin Blake Mikell age 18 of Baxley. Mikell was charged with VGCS/Marijuana and Tail Lights Required.
12-10-16—Answered a call to Mae Lane in reference to a Domestic. Complainant stated she and her boyfriend had a verbal argument which led to an altercation.
12-10-16—Answered a call to Ten Mile Road in reference to Damage to Property.  Complainant left her vehicle on the side of the roadway due to an accident. Someone busted the driver’s window stealing a wallet containing approximately $400 in US currency, driver’s license and social security card.
12-10-16—Answered a call to Dollar General/Golden Isles West in reference to a female subject paying for an item with a counterfeit bill.
12-10-16—Answered a call to Buckhead Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
12-10-16—Answered a call to Davis Landing Road in reference to a one-vehicle deer accident. No injuries were reported.
12-10-16—Answered a call to Vernon Williams Road in reference to a Dog-Shot. Complainant stated someone shot her mini schnauzer with a bb gun, in the hind quarter. Complainant believed it to be her neighbor. Deputies spoke with the neighbor, and he denied shooting the dog. Complainant took the dog to the Vet.
12-11-16—Answered a call to Fire Station Road in reference to Damage to Property. Complainant stated a tenant vandalized the inside of the trailer before moving out of  the trailer.
12-12-16—Appling County Sheriff’s Office assisted the GSP on an apparent accident that occurred on Satilla Church Road/Eula Courson Road which led to the arrest of Adrian Jamal White age 21 of Baxley. White was charged with Leaving the Scene of Accident, Adult Seatbelt, Too Fast for Conditions, Failure to Drive Within Single Lane, Driving W/O License, Reckless Driving, Defective Equipment, DUI, and Theft by Taking.
12-12-16—Answered a call to Eula Courson Road in reference to Cruelty to Animals.  Complainant stated she believes someone is trying to poison her dogs. She has had one dog to die and now other dog is at the vet’s being treated.
12-12-16—Answered a call to Wisteria Lane in reference to a Burglary. Complainant stated someone entered his residence by a broken window to a bedroom. Taken was a wallet containing $1,000 in US currency, a $100 money order, debit card, and driver’s license. Possible suspect/s named.  Investigation continues.
12-12-16—Answered a call to Appling ER in reference to a Dog Bite/Victim. Complainant stated his neighbor’s Rottweiler dog bit him on the right hand.  
12-14-16—Answered a call to Spring Branch Road in reference to a Burglary. Complainant stated when she got on her Kawasaki Mule she found someone had dismantled the switch as if it had been tried to be straight wired.  Investigation continues.
12-15-16—Answered a call to US#1 North Convenience Store in reference to an Attempted Burglary. Employee/Clerk of store stated a white male tried to knock a hole in the outside wall where the safe was located. Male left the scene driving a vehicle east.  Investigation continues.
12-16-16—Complainant came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a Theft. Complainant stated she ordered a Sanyo TV from Wal-Mart on line. She has never received the TV. FedEx stated it was delivered, but complainant stated TV was not delivered to her address.  Investigation continues.
12-16-16—Answered a call to Phillipi Church Road in reference to a Theft. Complainant stated someone stole approximately $7000.00 in US currency from his residence.  Complainant stated it was located in a trash bag.  Same date complainant called the Sheriff’s Office and stated he had found his money.
