Savannah Metro Investigates Coffee Pointe Drive Car Break-In

The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Southside Precinct detectives seek to identify the suspect in an entering auto incident outside a house in the Coffee Bluff area. A credit card stolen in this case was subsequently used for several fraudulent purchases.
The theft is believed to have occurred between the evening of Jan. 16 and the early morning hours of Jan. 17. The crime was reported to investigators at about 8:30 a.m. on Jan. 17.
Reportedly, a suspect entered the unlocked vehicle on the 100 block of Coffee Pointe Drive, taking various personal items to include a wallet. Investigators later obtained surveillance footage of a suspect who made purchases with the stolen card.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s. He is tall and slender. During the incident he wore a white baseball cap, black shirt, black jacket and dark pants.
