UPDATE: Baxley PD has identified the two suspects involved in the incident as Nathaniel Eric Smith and Latasha M. Smith. Active warrants for aggravated battery and cruelty to children have been issued.
At approximately 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2017, two customers of Qwik Chik in Baxley got into a heated confrontation with the owner over a mistake with their order.
The situation became physical, with the two customers assaulting the owner. As they left, they struck the owner’s daughter, knocking her down.
The suspects then fled the scene in a tan-brown Cadillac Escalade. The two are described as a black male and female. The male is average height and has a large build. The female is tall and has a slim build.
