Georgia Department of Labor Career Centers to close because of Hurricane Irma

ATLANTA – Due to the potential for severe weather conditions associated with Hurricane Irma, Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) Career Centers in Brunswick, Kings Bay, Hinesville and Savannah will be closed tomorrow.
In addition, four centers are scheduled to close Friday at noon. They are Statesboro, Vidalia, Waycross and Douglas.
Customers in those areas should be advised to monitor our website for continuous updates on all impacted career center closures and business hours, as well as use our online services to file unemployment insurance claims and get employment-related information and services.
We are continuing to monitor the storm closely and will provide further updates of any additional office closings or modified business hours.
The career centers will reopen when weather conditions permit.
The public is urged to monitor dol.georgia.gov for continuing updates on closures and re-openings.
