SAVANNAH, GA (January 29, 2018): Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police responded to a vehicle versus bicycle crash on White Bluff Road at Derenne Avenue that injured one male at around 3:45 a.m. January 29 .
Randy Dudley, 35, was riding a bicycle headed north on White Bluff Road when he attempted to cross Derenne Avenue on a red light. Edward Roundtree, 56, driving a Cadillac, and Sherry Loney, 60, in a Jeep were headed west on Derenne Avenue through a green light. Due to Dudley wearing dark clothing and not having a light on his bike, Roundtree struck him. The impact sent the bicycle into the path of Loney, who could not avoid hitting the bicycle. Dudley was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Traffic Investigation Unit responded to the scene. This incident is still under investigation.
