45-year-old Thomas Earl Brown of Waycross was arrested and booked on Wednesday June 6th. He faces aggravated assault and vehicular theft charges.
Brown is accused of choking his girlfriend and then stealing her car.
He choked her to prevent her from contacting authorities and destroyed her cell phone. He then fled the scene in her vehicle.
Fortunately, the victim was not seriously hurt.
