SAVANNAH, GA (November 27, 2018) – Savannah Police’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the Nov. 26 fatal shooting of a 35-year-old man on Augusta Avenue.
Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Augusta Avenue about 10:15 p.m. and discovered Gregory Jones suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Memorial Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
