On 11/18/2018 Officers from the Douglas Police Department responded to Fales Ave. and the Sunoco Gas Station in Douglas Ga. in reference to the shooting death of 31 year old Terrance Daniel Gibson. Terrance was walking to the Sunoco store and was on Fales Ave. when an unknown individual shot him in the back. Investigators from the Douglas Police Department and the Douglas – Coffee County Gang Unit conducted the investigation into the death of Terrance Gibson. On 12/07/2018 Officers from the Douglas Police Department and the Douglas – Coffee County Gang Unit arrested and charged 29 year old Samuel Edward Jones with the Murder of Mr. Gibson. Jones is currently being held in the Coffee County Jail on the charges of Felony Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Certain Crimes.
