At approximately 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 27th, an altercation took place involving an Appling County Sheriff’s Office Investigator and a suspect at Flash Foods in Baxley. The officer involved is being treated at the ER. The suspect is in custody.
Investigation is ongoing. The GBI is handling the case and more information will be released as it’s made available.
