Wendell Holmes Davis, age 82, of Anderson, SC & formerly of Brunswick died Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Mr. Davis was born June 8, 1937, in Baxley, Georgia to the late James Boyce Davis and the late Bonnie Rigdon Davis. He was a welder with B & W and then a meat cutter with Harvey’s & Winn Dixie. Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brunswick.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Joyce Yawn Davis; sons & daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Stephanie Davis of Belton, SC and James & Julie Davis of St. Augustine, FL; brothers Donald (Carolyn) Davis and Bobby (Helen) Davis both of Baxley; grandchildren, Anne’ Davis, Danielle Davis, Erik Davis, & Krystle Simmons. Eight great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Zoar Cemetery with Rev. Alan Davis officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday morning, 9-10 a.m., at Swain Funeral Home.
