Appling County Board of Education appointed Sabrina Turner on Monday, August 31, 2020, to fill the vacant seat, due to the resignation of Reid Lovett for District 4. Mrs. Turner will complete Mr. Lovett’s term through December 2020. She was previously elected to serve as District 4 board member beginning January 2021. Our Election Superintendent, Shonda Carter coordinated the swearing-in ceremony with Probate Judge Diane Hallman which was conducted on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at 10:00 am at Appling County Courthouse.
Superintendent Dr. Scarlett M. Copeland and ACBOE welcome Mrs. Turner to her new position and look forward to working with her in this capacity. Mrs. Turner expressed her excitement over being appointed as well.
