Rev. Thomas H. Turner – 90

Rev. Thomas H. Turner, age 90, of Baxley died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Meadows Regional Medical Center.
Brother Thomas was born November 5, 1930 in Alma to the late Frank David Turner and the late Effie Hutto Turner. He was a minister having served over 30 years at First United Pentecostal Church in Baxley. During his ministry, he also served as pastor at two other churches and four nursing home congregations. He was also a member of the Florida Carpenters Union. In addition to his parents, Mr. Turner was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Thelma Turner; daughter, Sharon Morehouse; and grandson Aaron Guy.
Survivors include his wife, Deloris Turner of Baxley; daughters and son-in-law, Lori Diamond of Baxley and Mary Ann & Randy Guy of Baxley; sons, David Turner of Deland, FL and Jonathan Turner of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Thelma Leeper of Jacksonville, GA; twenty one grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren also survive.
A private family funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. James Jordan, Rev. Randy Watts, and Rev. Anthony Guy officiating. A public graveside service will follow at Omega Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Joseph Turner, Chad DeBoard, Anthony Guy, Dustin Corbitt, Andrew Guy, and Reece Windjack.
Honorary pallbearers will be the ministers of the United Pentecostal Church Georgia District.
Everyone in attendance is asked to please abide by COVID-19 precautions by wearing a mask and social distancing.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
