Rowan Saige Godwin was born Friday, May 14, 2021 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup at 6:00 a.m. and passed away at 12:46 p.m. at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
Survivors include his parents, Cody Lee Godwin of Screven & Sintia Guadalupe Andrade of Baxley; sister, Rayne Teston of Baxley; paternal grandparents, Scott & Phyllis Godwin of Screven; maternal grandparents, Baldemar Hernandez & Ignacia Andrade of Baxley; paternal great grandmother, Marilyn Godwin of Screven; maternal great grandmother, Guadalupe Silva of Baxley; aunts & uncles, Jeremy & Kalen Godwin of Screven, Magali Ortiz, and Jose Ortiz both of Baxley; cousins, Easton, Rush, and Haze Godwin and Loyal Ma’Laya.
Rowan was preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, John & Hilda Harris and Everett Godwin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Pastor Mickey Tomberlin and Pastor Donnie Mullis officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6-8 p.m., at Swain Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Godwin and Jose Ortiz.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Angela Fagiana, Dr. Sandra Mager, Dr. Daniel Collipp, Wayne Memorial Hospital L & D Code 1 Team, and the following Nurses of NICU at Memorial Health: Megan F., Scott M., and Laura C.
