Opal Howard Sellers, age 90, of Baxley passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at her residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.
Mrs. Sellers was born October 30, 1930 in Wheeler County to the late William Thomas Howard and the late Mamie Breedlove Howard. She was a member of Oak View Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Sellers was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Sellers; son, Leon Sellers; grandson, Brian Reynolds; and son-in-law, Charles Kight.
Survivors include her daughters & sons-in-law, Wilene Kight, Glenda & Bob Christian both of Baxley and Sheri & Micah Yandell of Hendersonville, TN; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Sellers of Baxley. Grandchildren, Shannon (Chris) Corbitt, Brandon (Melissa) Sellers, Kevin Walls & Michael (Vanessa) Christian; and great grandchildren, Kolby Walls, Braeden Sellers, Sophie Corbitt, Sadie Corbitt, Kaden Walls, Mason Sellers and Sinclair Corbitt also survive.
A private funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Yawn officiating.
A public graveside service will follow in Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tim Howard, Brandon Sellers, Michael Christian, Kevin Walls, Kolby Walls, Cecil Veal and John Edward Dykes.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends and family in attendance.
