Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. David C. Gruber, age 60, who passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Gruber was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County, a truck driver, and a member of the Baxley Church of God and the Kingdom Heirs Life Group.
Mr. Gruber is preceded in death by his mother, Mavis Gruber, brother; Willard Gruber, and two sisters, Jaquita Maxwell, and Karen Gruber.
Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Brenda Vaughn Carter; a son, David Gruber Jr. (Sandi); two grandchildren, Seth Gruber (Megan), and Trent Gruber; six siblings, Juanita Parkerson (Don), Ronnie Gruber (Barbara), Clyde Gruber (Charlotte), Jerry Gruber (Diane), Roderick Gruber (Freda), and Charlene Carter (Dewayne); numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. from the Baxley Church of God with Reverend Lamar Lee, and Revered David Herndon officiating.
Internment will follow in the Friendship Church Cemetery.
Mr. Gruber will lie in state one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Active Pallbearers are Seth Gruber, Trent Gruber, Brian Carter, Rodney Reese, Adam Gruber, and David Gruber.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kingdom Heirs Life Group, Comfort Care Hospice, and the staff of the Tommy & Shirley Strickland Cancer Center.
