Cleveland Terry “Butch” Edenfield – 56

Cleveland Terry “Butch” Edenfield, age 56, of Surrency passed away peacefully Friday, August 5, 2022 at his residence.
 
Butch was born September 20, 1965 in Appling County. He was a member of Surrency Community Bible Church and was a retired correctional officer. Butch loved his family and enjoyed barbequing Boston butts and briskets as well as Football Saturdays and Nascar Sundays. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Edenfield; a brother-in-law, Graham Eason; and his fathers-in-law, Tom Martin and James Daniels.
 
Survivors include his wife, Dana Martin Edenfield of Surrency; daughter & son-in-law, Alonna & Marshall Hulett of Baxley; son & daughter-in-law, Dillon & Jessica Edenfield of Surrency; mother, Mary Lee Edenfield of Baxley; sisters & brothers-in-law, Lynette & Julius Lightsey of Surrency, Teresa Eason of Washington, and Melissa & Chris Nail of Hazlehurst; mother-in-law, Frances Martin Daniels of Surrency; sister-in-law, Tonya (Tony) Adams of Surrency; and grandchildren, Jayna and Jessy Lou Edenfield of Surrency. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
 
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Logan Simmons, Rev. Mike Redwine, and Chris Nail officiating. Interment will follow in Surrency City Cemetery.
 
Active pallbearers will be Tom Bellew, Jeff Buckhalter, Scott White, Ricky Beckworth, Christopher Eason, Jeff Pearce, Jeff Horton, Scotty Tanner, and Chris Johnson.
 
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Surrency Community Bible Church, the staff of Appling Integrated Treatment Facility, Knicole Lee & Healthie Community Staff, and all friends in attendance.
 
Visitation will be Sunday, August 7, 2022, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Swain Funeral Home.
 
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
