Lajuana Ann Branch, age 64, of Denton, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.
Ms. Branch was born February 13, 1959, in Ashburn, GA to the late Theron Michael Cook and the late Whilden (Willis) Cook. She was employed by Propex Hazlehurst Mills as a tie end operator and was also a firefighter and first responder with the Hazlehurst-Jeff Davis County Fire Department since 2015.
Survivors include her children, Andrea (Greg) Vaughn of McRae, Verlon (Kristen) Branch of Denton, Ashley (Ric) Ramirez of Hinesville, Kristie Branch of Hazlehurst, Misty (Chad) Mitchell of Dallas City, IL, and Kyle (Marie) Branch of Hazlehurst; sisters, Ellen (Robert) Greer of Poulan and Nancy Reynolds of Valdosta; brothers, Mike (Joann) Cook of Vienna, Sheldon (Desiree) Cook of Ashburn, and Jerry (Rhonda) Cook of Leesburg. Fourteen grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hazlehurst Church of God with Rev. Dudley Cook and Rev. Van McCall officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service.
Active pallbearers will be Shawn Killi, Duck Hyers, Dustin Atkinson, David Sellers, Dylan Stokes, and Cody Herndon.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
