Etta Faye Morris, age 80, of Baxley passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Morris was born May 22, 1943 in Appling County to the late Ivey David Mincey and the late Agnes Crosby Mincey.  She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her former husband, Talmadge Herrington, brother, Cecil Mincey and sisters, Idell Mincey, Bessie Lous Hand and Isabell Evans.

Survivors include her companion, Charles Watson of Scotland; daughters, Janice (David) Wolfe of Baxley, Tammy (Kevin) Miller of Nicholls, Vickie (Jeff) Cook of Hinesville, and Patricia (Rowdy) Harris of Baxley; sons, Rickey (Alane) Herrington, Darrel (Alice) Herrington, and George (Cassie) Herrington all of Baxley; sisters, Nina Mae Miller and Adel Reliford both of Baxley; brother, Pat Mincey of Baxley; stepsons Mario, Ricky, & Robert (Doodle) Watson all of Scotland. Forty-eight grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren; and twenty-five great-great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Miller and Rev. Mitch Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Asbury Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Rickey Herrington, Jr, Ivey Herrington, George Herrington, Tommy Herrington, Rusty Hutto and Tommy Lloyd Herrington.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Jeff Davis Hospital and Hospice of South Georgia.

The visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
