The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office uncovered a massive marijuana operation valued at approximately $22.5 million.

One month ago, law enforcement initiated an investigation prompted by reports of an illegal food manufacturing facility operating on a property owned by HG LLC. To their surprise, officials uncovered an extensive operation involving more 11,000 marijuana plants. This is the biggest drug bust involving an indoor cultivation operation in the history of Pierce County.

All four suspects were Chinese nationals. One suspect, Wei Sheng Deng, was apprehended by ICE in connection with the operation. The remaining three suspects, Zhu Sheng Bing, Jinpeng Ma, and Chenhui Shu, were determined to be legally present in the U.S. They now face charges related to felony marijuana manufacturing and possession, with additional trafficking charges anticipated.
