Nobles Funeral Home announces the funeral service for Mr. James Kennon Crosby, age 70, who passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at his residence. Mr. Crosby was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a US Army Veteran. He attended Corinth Church of God and was a former member of the Baxley Police Department. Mr. Crosby was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved going on cruises with his family.

 

Mr. Crosby is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Kennon and Kathryn Louise Hand Crosby; and two siblings, Willie J. “Buddy” Baxley, and Johnny Faye Holder.

 

Surviving is his wife of ten years, Donna Crosby; two daughters, Karen Wallace (Scott) and Lisa Crosby; two stepchildren, Daniel Williams and Erica Ard (James); six grandchildren, Kourtney Williams, Rebekah Roberson (Jordan), Kristan Perry (Cody), Alexis Crosby (Jessie Roach), and Amber Blodgett (Taylor); several great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Donald R. Crosby (Darlene), Jerry Leggett (Janet), and Karan Herndon (Tony), and nieces and nephews also survive.

 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, at 11:00 A.M. from Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Billy Bratton and Reverend Earl Wiggins officiating.

 

The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
