On June 19, 2024, at approximately 6:49 PM, Troopers K. Williams #188 and D. Ivey #626 were dispatched to a traffic crash on Prentiss Road at its intersection with a railroad crossing. A Chevrolet Trailblazer occupied Mr. Harold Robinson failed to yield to the train as it entered the crossing. The train struck the Trailblazer in the driver’s door causing it to overturn and eject the driver. EMS arrived on scene and transported Mr. Robinson to the Appling County Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His next of kin was notified.
