Job Opportunity: Studio Broadcast Operator (Part-Time, Seasonal – Football Season)
Start Date: August 2025
Location: WBYZ Z-94 Studio at 4005 Golden Isles Pkwy Baxley, GA
Hours: Approximately 5:00 PM – 10:00/11:00 PM (Friday Evenings during Football Season and possibly Saturdays if there are makeup games)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Studio Broadcast Operator to join our team part-time for the upcoming football season. This seasonal role involves operating the studio during live broadcasts of Appling County Pirates football games. You will be a vital link in ensuring smooth, professional coverage by maintaining clear communication with on-air talent and managing the technical flow of each broadcast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the radio studio during live football game broadcasts
- Communicate clearly and promptly with Jimmy Graham, the voice of the Appling County Pirates
- Cue commercials, monitor audio levels, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed
- Remain attentive throughout the game and ensure smooth transitions
- Receive training and support from our production director, Cody
