On January 24, National Peanut Butter Day, the Savannah Police Department started a #SpreadtheLove Peanut Butter Drive to help families in need in our area. For three weeks, officers and civilian staff brought in peanut butter items ranging from snacks, jars and crackers. On February 15, SPD donated 200 peanut butter products in the weight of 249 lbs to Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. We also had the privileged of taking a tour of the facility, which produces thousands of hot meals weekly, and provides food to nonprofits in the area. We’re so thankful for their contribution to our community, and proud of our officers for stepping up to make a difference in Savannah!
