Four Injured in Two-Vehicle Wreck at Appling-Bacon County Line

On Monday, April 22nd, at approximately 5:35 pm, a two-vehicle wreck occurred on US 1 near the Appling Bacon County line. The collision involved a 1999 Mac dump truck driven by Kevin Owen, age 38, and a 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by Angela Bishop, age 45. Both vehicles were traveling south when the accident happened.
An investigation is pending as to the cause of the accident.
Owen was transported to Appling County Hospital and Bishop was transported to Bacon County Hospital. Two passengers in the Tacoma were airlifted to Memorial University Medical Center.
