Mary Lou Reynolds – 92

Mary Lou Reynolds, age 92, of Baxley, died Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her residence under the care of Community Hospice.
Mrs. Reynolds was born September 20, 1928 in Baxley to the late Elton Jack Carter and the late Ada Belle Branch Carter. She was a homemaker and seamstress, and she was an active member of Spring Branch Missionary Baptist Church, where she was also involved in Vacation Bible School, WMU, and many other capacities. Mrs. Reynolds also volunteered with Consolation Baptist Association and the Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband of 62 years, Marion Martin Reynolds and her brother, Sellers Walton Carter.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Shirley A. Reynolds of Baxley, and Sheila & Joe Hopwood of Baxley; sons and daughter-in-law, Joe Reynolds of Baxley, and David & Barbara Reynolds of Baxley; sister, Betty Livingston of Baxley; brother, Larry Branch of Flovilla; special family friends, Felix & Vicki Beck of Baxley; seventeen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Branch Baptist Church Family Life Center with Rev. Rick Brown, Rev. Bryan Gill, and Rev. Chuck Lewis officiating.
Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Register, Harry Branch, Henry Branch, John Branch, Wink Branch, and Adam Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Flonnie Nails, Betty Griffin, Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief, all pastors in attendance, Adult Ladies Sunday School Class of Spring Branch, and the staff of Community Hospice in Vidalia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief Region 8 (www.gabaptist.org).
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
